Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. the design of the dresser is very pretty. when assembling the drawers, they fall apart. we had to get small "L" type brackets to put on all four corners of the drawers so they don't fall apart. i don't see this dresser lasting too long. we got it for our nursery, so i don't see it lasting in a childs room for too long.

I love this dresser, as well as the rest of the Parker collection. The overall design is a little more "masculine" than some of the other collections, so I found it quite fitting for my son Parker! I love the design of this dresser, and well as the quality, durability, and the wood it is made from. The ONLY negative thing I could say about this dresser is the amount of time if takes to assemble it. The assembly is not difficult by any means, just very time consuming. I really love it though, and am completely satisfied with this purchase.

I bought this dresser for my 3 yr. old son. I didn't want to spend to much money because i felt in the next 5 years he might end up putting a lot of wear and tear towards it anyways...like boys do..ha..ha!
I was looking for something "middle of the road" so to speak.
First of all, once this was delivered to me and i opened it.. i LITERALLY ended up throwing out, with the rest of the cardboard packing, the bottom slates for the drawers and the back panel as well by accident. I had no idea that these cheap pieces were actually part of the dresser!! They are not even wood..i guess they are some sort of cheap partical board for the drawers and the back panel for the dresser is actually a piece of cardboard folded in half!! I kid you not...You are expected to unfold it and screw it onto the back of the dresser..UNBELIEVABLE!
Once i went back to fetch these "non wood" pieces and started to put the whole thing together i realized that reading the instructions are near impossible...they are very confusing to say the least. I'm a smart chicky, so i figured it out...but like what some other people have noted on there comments about this dresser...Some of the pieces are not marked properly, there were 3 different pieces that had good size scratches on them and once it was all put together it looked cheap. The drawers don't line up properly,they bang and are loud when you close them(i had to put pads on all the drawers to keep the noise down)
Bottom line...i should of spent a little more for something a whole lot better. The ONLY reason i did not return this item was because i am 8 months pregnant and just don't have the time to take it all apart and ship it back = (
