About New Zealand Radiata Pine Wood:
Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. DaVinci's pine wood originates from forests maintained by managers that enforce environmental responsibility and the conservation of forest wildlife.

Quick to assemble. Had no problem with the instructions. I did get worried at first when I thought the instructions were only in French, but the English is on the same pages, just smaller print
it seemed.
I like that the crib is about the smallest of the cribs I looked at. It comes in at about 55 inches
wide instead of 60 or more like the other ones. I can do without the frills that make the cribs
wider than they need to be. The mattress fits
inside perfectly with no gaps. Definitely a plus!
I also like the fact that the Toddler conversion
is included so that it can be used for a good
amount of time.

This is the 2nd DiVinci crib that we bought for our grandchildren. The first one impressed us so much with its construction, materials, and ease of assembly, that when our 2nd granddaughter was due we purchased a DiVinci crib and changing table set. Both our Son and Daughter are thrilled with the crib sets.

It took my husband about an hour and a half to assemble and the product was in near perfect condition. A few marks here and there, but incredibly minor and too be expected since the wood is pine.
