Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. DaVinci's pine wood originates from forests maintained by managers that enforce environmental responsibility and the conservation of forest wildlife.

Furniture is a beautiful color and looks much more expensive than it was. I was very happy that the dresser and crib arrived on Wednesday when I had just ordered it Sunday. The items were in perfect condition (no scratches) and look gorgeous in our nursery. The instructions to put the furniture together are not great but doable.

We just purchased this for our nursery. My husband is a carpenter so I thought that assembling this would be a piece of cake for him. He said the instructions were the worst he's ever seen. It took him about 1-2 hours and he looked pretty frustrated the whole time. The finished product looks very nice though! The drawers pull out with ease and the finish is very flattering.
