The foundation of KidCo's product offering is a complete line of child, pet and hearth safety gates, designed and engineered in Denmark. The Gateway®, KidCo's first model was a completely new concept in pressure mounted, walk-through gate design. In 2003 the Gateway® To Go travel gate was introduced, winning numerous awards including the JPMA Innovation Award and iParenting Media Award. All KidCo gates pass not only the ASTM safety standards but also the much more stringent European requirements.
Each patented product in the home saftey collection offers features not found on products from the commodity suppliers of safety products intended to protect children. In 2000 KidCo's Toilet Lock won the JPMA Show Stopper award, as one of the best new products for that year. And again in 2004 another new home safety device, the Door Lever Lock, won the JPMA Innovation award. Manufactured on three continents, home safety items are delivered to KidCo's distribution center to supply the professional "Baby Proofer" market and packaged for the retail market.
We do not require an adult signature for deliveries, but please note that the decision to leave your package without a signature is at the discretion of the delivery person. If you want an item left at your doorstep, the best thing to do is leave a note on your door asking the driver to leave your package with "No Signature Required." Be sure to include your name and tracking number on the note.

I was very impressed with this gate right out of the box. Very sturdy and well constructed.
I am using this gate at the bathroom door to keep the dogs out of the bathroom but enable the cats in to use their litter box.
I've read other reviews about instructions not being clear and that I should use longer screws....I had no problems installing the gate and used screws that came with it.
It unlatches easily and is just the gate I was looking for.

I have two gates at the top of two different stairways and one at the bottom of one. They look great and are very sturdy. The gates were very difficult to install because there were not studs across from eachother on both sides of where the gates needed to go. We purchased toggle bolts to secure the gates on one side into the drywall and it works great. The struggles we encountered installing this gate, we would have encountered with any screw in gates. Overall, very pleased.

I was very satisfied with this gate. It looks great, the black matches our iron railings well, was easy to install and very flexible. It is easy to adjust as well. It has very sturdy support on both sides. The only thing I wish all gate manuf. would do is make it easier to make it lockable. I have an 18 month old and a 3 year old. The 3 year old can open the gate pretty easily so I worry about him opening and our daughter fallind down the stairs. Because of that, I had to rig up a locking mechanism with a gate hook so as to prevent him from opening it. It works well once setup with that. Very happy with CNS stores and Kido.
